Beijing Union Cup (here after BUC) is jointly hosted by two of the very best racing pigeon clubs in China. The loft is located at serene and beautiful Yi Zhuang Park by the 5th Ring Road and Beijing-Tianjin Expressway. It is less than 10 minutes drive from the center of Beijing.
In 2009, BUC has successfully hosted the 1st Beijing Union Cup Triple Crown Race with less than 1200 entry birds competing for the total prize money of RMB 10 millions. It has become the most influential One-Loft race in China.
The Racing Principle
The BUC luxurious loft is divided into six independent yet connected sub-lofts. Each sub-loft will be managed by different team leader. Each Team Leader will hire its own professional handler. The six sub-lofts, under the management of each team leader, will act completely independent until the race time. Each sub-loft is only allowed to have 200 formal entries. Each formal entry is permitted to have one back-up bird.

II. Ace Pigeon Race
The total speed of the same pigeon in the three races (450km+500km+550km) will determine the Ace Pigeon Race positions. The prize money will be heavily emphasized on the Ace Pigeon Race.
III. Golden Ring Race (winner-takes-all)
When the trainings are finished and before Race One starts, each participant can nominate ONE of his pigeons to be Golden Ring Nominee. The cost of a nominee is RMB 10,000. All the money will be paid out to the ONLY pigeon with the highest total speed of the three races. Winner Takes All! The winner of last year (Great Wall Loft) brought home over half million RMB!!!
IV. The Best Handler Competition
After three races, the handler, who has more prized pigeons in the Ace Pigeon Race, becomes the “Golden Handler” and earns RMB 200,000!!! And whoever is next, becomes “Sliver Handler” and earns RMB 100,000!!! So, there is intense competition not only among the pigeons, but also among the handlers!
Number of Entries and Cost of Entry
I. The Race will take only 1,200 formal entries (200 entries per sub-loft). Each formal entry can have one back-up pigeon. If the formal entry is lost in the trainings, the back-up automatically becomes the formal entry.
II. For both formal entry and back-up entry, it is RMB 1,000 each to cover all the race related expenses.
III. For each formal entry, the cost is RMB 10,000, paid in when birds are delivered. All the money collected from formal entries will be paid out in prizes! For each back-up entry, after the training is over (early Oct.), one can opt to pay RMB 5,000 to make it enter the race or take it out home. All the money collected from back-up entries will be paid out in Ace Pigeon Race!
IV. Each of the six team leaders is responsible for collecting the entry money. By June 10th, all the prize money (RMB 12 millions) will be put into bank and co-signed by the six team leaders. It will only be activated at the pay-out time.
V. During the trainings, if a pigeon is sick or lost , the team leader may contact the owner to bring in a replacement so long as it is before the formal registration (August 8th) .
VI. On August 8th, all the pigeons (formal and back-up) will have formal registration (marking, picturing, etc.). Any pigeons, which are not formally registered, are disqualified for The Race.
Race Rules
I. The Race strictly follows the racing regulations of China Pigeon Association.
II. If Race One is delayed, Race Two and Race Three will be delayed accordingly.
III.For Race One (450km), the pigeons will be released before 8 o’clock in the morning. If the local weather does not permit, the release will be delayed.
All pigeons, arrived home by 12:00 noon the next day after the 1st pigeon arrived, will be qualified for the Ace Pigeon Race. The late return pigeons are disqualified for Ace Pigeon Race, but still qualified for competing in Race Two and Race Three.
If there are less than 50 pigeons returned by the designated time, The Race is closed. The prize of Race One and Ace Pigeon Race will be issued to the returned pigeons according to their positions. The rest prize money will be evenly distributed to all the pigeons released for Race One.
If there are more than 50 but less than 100 pigeons returned by the designated time, The Race is also closed. The prize of Race One and Ace Pigeon Race will be issued to the returned pigeons according to their positions. The rest prize money will be evenly distributed to the prized pigeons.
If there are no pigeons returned for Race One by 12:00 noon the second day, The Race is closed. All the prize money will be evenly distributed to the pigeons released for Race One.
If more than 100 pigeons returned home, The Race goes on.
IV.For Race Two (500km), the pigeons will be released before 8 o’clock in the morning if there is no rain. If there is rain, the release will be delayed till the next day. If there is still rain the next day, the pigeons will be brought back. And Race Two will be delayed for one week.
All pigeons, arrived home by 18:00 the next day after the 1st pigeon arrived, will be qualified for the Ace Pigeon Race. The late returned pigeons are disqualified for Ace Pigeon Race, but still qualified for competing in Race Three.
If there are less than 50 pigeons returned by the designated time, The Race is closed. The prize of Race Two will be issued to the returned pigeons according to their positions. The Ace Pigeon Race prize will be issued based on the total speed of Race One (450km) and Race Two (500km) in an ascending order. The rest prize money will be evenly distributed to all the pigeons released for Race Two.
If there are more than 50 but less than 100 pigeons returned, all the terms remain the same as above mentioned except the rest prize money will be evenly distributed to the prized pigeons.
If there are no pigeon returned for Race Two by 18:00 o’clock the second day, The Race is closed. The Ace Pigeon Race prize will be issued based on Race One. The rest prize money will be evenly distributed to all the pigeons released for Race Two.
If more than 100 pigeons returned home, The Race goes on.
V.For Race Three (550km), the pigeons will be released before 8 o’clock in the morning. If there is rain, the release will be delayed till the next day. If there is still rain the next day, the pigeons will be brought back. And Race Three will be delayed for one week.
All pigeons, arrived home by 18:00 the next day after the 1st pigeon arrived, will be qualified for Ace Pigeon Race. The late returned pigeons are disqualified for Ace Pigeon Race.
If there are less than 50 pigeons returned by the designated time, Race Three prize will be issued to the returned pigeons according to their positions. The Ace Pigeon Race prize will be issued based on the total speed of Race One (450km), Race Two (500km) and Race Three (550km) in an ascending order. The rest prize money will be evenly distributed to all the pigeons released for Race Three.
If there are more than 50 pigeons returned, the terms remain the same as above mentioned except the rest prize money will be evenly distributed to the prized pigeons.
If there are no pigeons returned by 18:00 the second day, The Race is closed. The Ace Pigeon Race prize will be issued based on the total speed of Race One (450km) and Race Two (500km). The rest prize money will be evenly distributed to all the pigeons released for Race Three.

Note：All the money collected from the back-up entries will be paid out to the position of 101 and after (in RMB 50,000 per lot) until the money run out.
Other matters
I.The auction will be held one week after The Race is closed. The auction money will be split 60% and 40% between the owner and The Host. The Host grantees the bottom price for the prized pigeons as following：

II. For all the prize money, there will be 10% management fee charge.

V. The Host reserves all the rights in resolving any possible disputes.
